Jan. 7th, 2011 03:37 pmSo I had to go to Urology today to see a nurse. I've been having some huge problems and they wanted to ultrasound me to see if I needed something like a home catheter. Thankfully I had far from needing any of that, which, thank God. They pretty much scared me stiff.
But it was just a medication problem making it look much worse than it is.
Apparently I'm overmedicated. Raise your hand if this surprises you. :|
They have me on Detrol LA and my gastro Dr. has me on Levbid.
...apparently they do the exact same thing. So the overmedication is giving me bladder spasms. Though they didn't address it, I wouldn't be surprised if it was causing other issues too.
So now I have to stop the Detrol. Problem is, my IC was giving me pretty bad symtoms. The Detrol was the first med to make me feel almost normal. It fixed so many things. I started it a few months ago. In contrast, I started the Levbid like... years ago. If I'm overmedicated, but my symptoms come back wihout the Detrol, I have no idea what they would need to do. Hopefully I won't have to find out.
