LJ fucked this post up the first time. I'm sorry to those it notifies twice and sorry if it broke anyone's friends page. I have no idea what even happened there.

Holy shit I need to stop reading message boards for medication. I am so upset right now by this comment:

"OP - Yes, [Zofran is] a wonderful product that will keep you from wretching and therefore able to maintain your nutrition, electrolyte balance, and not become frighteningly thin and weak at 4.50/pill is really not a bad deal. I remember my neighbor who was 16 years-old suffering through chemotherapy, unable to eat normally for weeks because of the nausea. There are people willing to pay $95.00 for high-speed DSL each month, cable TV, plasma screens, club memberships, but GOD FORBID they pay for decent medicines. People do not want to accept that profits go to companies who make medicines that offer innovations to keep them alive, yet they applaud profits that go to Coca Cola, Frito Lay, Kraft - companies making products sure to kill you outright. The generic[*] you bought is a bargain. Go celebrate life somewhere."

Yes.

That's totally it.

People who need Zofran but can't pay for it are selfish because they use the internet.

No.

FUCK YOU.

I know this post is long, but please bear with me.

I'm sure "divert funds from optionals to necessities and you can pay for it" sounds good by itself but if you take even two minutes to fill in the details, you find out why it's not even nearly that simple.

But you know what?

I shouldn't have to explain all that.

It should be fucking common sense that one does not do not go on a board with cancer patients and tell them that they're selfish because they can't pay for their medication. And if it's not in that person's view of common sense, they quite clearly have some problems of their our own to be working out.
